Cookies & Tracking

Last updated: 9 October 2026

Cohab is an app, so it doesn’t use browser cookies. It does keep some information on your phone, and some of the services Cohab relies on can read it. This page lists all of it.

1. What the app needs to work

  • Your sign-in, kept in your phone’s secure storage so that you stay signed in.
  • Your settings and drafts.
  • The purchase information that the App Store or Google Play, and RevenueCat, need in order to know whether you have Cohab+.
  • A push-notification token, only if you allow notifications. You can turn notifications off in your phone’s settings at any time.

These are strictly necessary to give you what you asked for, so they don’t need your consent.

2. Crash reporting

Cohab uses Sentry to find and fix crashes. When something goes wrong, it sends a technical report — what failed, the app version and the type of phone — and, for a sample of sessions, how quickly screens loaded. No name, email address or account identifier is attached.

Crash reporting is on by default. You can turn it off at any time with Share usage analytics, under Settings → Your data, and from then on nothing is sent.

3. No advertising, no tracking

Cohab shows no ads and contains no advertising or marketing trackers. We don’t track you across other companies’ apps or websites, and we don’t collect your phone’s advertising identifier — which is why Cohab never asks for permission to track you.

4. Removing it

Signing out removes your sign-in from the phone, and deleting the app removes what Cohab stored in it. On iPhone, a few items in the phone’s secure storage can outlast the app until you reinstall it, when they are replaced. Deleting your account removes your data from our systems as described in the Privacy Policy.
