Delete your Cohab account
You can delete your account at any time, in the app or by email. It removes your profile, photos, listing, matches and messages.
In the app
- Open Cohab and go to the Account tab.
- Tap the gear for Settings, then Delete account.
- Confirm with Delete permanently.
Without the app
Email privacy@cohab.gr from the address your account uses — or, if you sign in with Apple or Google, the email of that account — and ask us to delete it. We may ask you to confirm it is you. We reply when it is done, within one month at the latest.
What is deleted
Your account, profile, photos, listing, likes and passes, matches and conversations, including the messages you sent, which disappear for the other person too.
What is kept, and for how long
- Encrypted backups keep a copy until they are overwritten on their normal cycle.
- If someone reported a conversation with you, a copy of it stays with the report until the report is closed, and six months at the most.
- A suspended account is kept, with its email address, so the same person cannot simply sign up again.
- Support messages are kept until they are no longer needed, and you can ask us to delete them.
- Cohab+ purchase records are kept by the App Store or Google Play and by RevenueCat, under their own obligations such as tax.
- Crash reports, which carry no name or account, are kept by Sentry for up to 90 days.
Cohab+
Deleting your account does not cancel a Cohab+ subscription. Cancel it first in the App Store or Google Play.
